DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH EPWP EDUCATORS
REMUNERATION: R3 500 pm (stipend)
Primary Function:
To educate community members through door-to-door visits and campaigns in priority wards about HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB), Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), substance abuse, stigma, and other health and social issues. Additionally, to refer individuals in need to relevant local services for poverty relief, social support, and healthcare based on their needs.
Requirements:
– Grade 12 (NQF level 4).
– Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB), Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs), substance abuse, stigma, gender-based violence, city processes, best practices, and policies on health and social issues.
– Numeric skills and strong writing and verbal communication abilities.
– Proficiency with electronic devices, including texting, emailing, and internet use.
– Youth aged 18 to 35 years.
– Residents of the specified wards are eligible to apply.
– EPWP requirement: Proof of residence in the specified ward via a note from the ward councilor or an affidavit signed by an authorized body.
– An affidavit confirming no criminal record.

– Report and record all activities on the provided reporting stationery and submit reports promptly.
