Yizani Sifunde Story Sparker (East London Hub): We are looking for motivated individuals with a passion for literacy to join the Yizani Sifunde Consortium.
Yizani Sifunde Consortium is a Liberty Community Trust funded project that seek to address some of the literacy development challenges facing the Eastern Cape.
Requirements:
To be a Story Sparker you must have a Matric certificate, be computer literate, tertiary qualification in Social Sciences or related is an added advantage and be able to demonstrate previous work experience with strong administration skills. Most importantly, you must be passionate about growing the love of reading in your community, be interested in children, and able to engage with children and teachers. You also need to live within walking distance from one of the local Early Childhood Development (ECD) centers.
Criteria:
- Unemployed youth
- Fluency in both isiXhosa and English
- Good admin and MS office skills
- In possession of a Matric certificate and any other post matric qualification
- Must live closer to one of the ECD Centers
- Must reside in one of the below mentioned areas within East London
