Role description
The Department of Roads and Transport is hereby recruiting Youth for a 2-year opportunity in the Provincial Youth services program. The role requires candidates with Grade 10 or above and unemployed. The different roles are Cleaner, Plumber, Electrician, Welder/boilermaker, Landscaping, Scanning facilities, Store assistance, Office admin, IT, Document quality assurance & Scanning.
Some of the roles involve:
– physical work such as: Performing all road maintenance duties.
– Office admin work.
– Operating and monitoring boilers.
– Landscaping duties: Mowing, edging, and fertilizing lawns; Trimming trees; Monitoring and maintaining plant health.
– Scanning duties: Your day-to-day duties typically include managing and storing files on a computer
– Cleaning, Plumbing & Electricity

Role requirement
– Must have Grade 10 or above
– Must have Grade 12 / N3/NQF Level 4
– Having work experience is a bonus
