NYDA IS OFFERING UNEMPLOYED YOUTH VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
Role description
The National Youth Service (NYS) is a government program in South Africa that aims to improve service delivery, strengthen social cohesion, promote nation-building, and instill patriotism in young people via community service. The National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) offers administrative support to the NYS in collaboration with Youth Build South Africa (YBSA) and the Southern African Association of Youth Clubs (SAAYC). Considering the many advantages of youth volunteering.
The NYDA gives young people the chance to volunteer 16 hours a week in their communities in an effort to reduce the high rates of youth unemployment. Along with learning new talents, participants will put their current skills to use. This will provide them with invaluable experience that may open up new employment options.
The program prepares youth for effective transitions into sustainable livelihoods and personal growth by offering extensive training in orientation, life skills, and work preparedness.
If chosen, you’ll participate in the “Make Your Own Money” learning experience over WhatsApp. Giving participants the skills and resources to make money both during and after the program is the aim.
