Recruitment of Casual Workers to Conduct Traffic Counts
The Municipality has been granted the Rural Roads Asset Management System (RRAMS) Grant, aimed at aiding rural district municipalities in South Africa to implement road asset management systems (RRAMS) and gather road condition and traffic data on municipal road networks in accordance with the Road Infrastructure Strategic Framework for South Africa (RISFSA). This data must then be integrated into a Pavement Management System (PMS) for Local Municipalities to ensure that their Road Maintenance Programs are based on scientific information, ensuring correct spending of the Municipal Infrastructure Grant (MIG) funding.
Strategic Objectives of RRAMS:
1. Collection of road condition data (paved and unpaved)
2. Gathering traffic data
3. Assessing bridge condition data
As part of this initiative, the District Municipality will conduct traffic counts in your municipal area throughout May 2024. The project requires 25 casual workers to conduct traffic counts for a 14-day period during this month. Employment and payments for these casual workers will be managed and funded by the District Municipality.
The District Municipality (Category 3 Municipality), an equal opportunity employer, invites candidates to apply for the following casual work opportunity:
