The primary objective of this role is to deliver professional and courteous reception services to visitors of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).

Detailed Responsibilities:

1. Greet and welcome SARB visitors with a calm, courteous, and professional demeanor.
2. Independently manage workload to ensure tasks are completed within established timeframes and quality standards.
3. Handle incoming telephone calls, screen them, and respond appropriately or direct them to the relevant parties.
4. Ensure timely communication with internal hosts upon visitors’ arrival at the Bank.
5. Address public inquiries and guide them to the appropriate staff members as needed.
6. Perform general administrative duties such as registering visitors, managing access cards, and maintaining visitor records.
7. Administer access card issuance and maintenance in compliance with relevant regulations.
8. Provide regular reports on reception operations to the Team Leader.
9. Proactively implement improvements to work processes within established guidelines.
10. Maintain a clean and safe reception area by following standard operating procedures.
11. Operate the switchboard to answer and divert calls.
12. Take and relay messages when requested individuals are unavailable.
13. Assist with telephone inquiries by staying informed about various departments’ matters.
14. Document and report on telephonic trends and discussions.

Job Requirements:

– Minimum of Grade 12 qualification.
– PSIRA grade D/E registration will be an added advantage

Additional Skills:

– Proficiency in operating service delivery equipment/tools/machinery.
– Knowledge and skill in service delivery reporting.
– Understanding of service delivery principles.
