ABOUT:

Learners enrolled at the training centers have access to three or four classrooms at each center, where they receive theoretical instruction. The classrooms vary in size from center to center but can accommodate between 20 to 50 learners each.

The workshops are equipped with workstations, workbenches, industrial equipment relevant to the trades, tools and equipment for practical learning, tool rooms, and material store rooms. In these workshops, learners are not only taught theoretical knowledge but also given the opportunity to apply their skills in practical exercises.

All four training centers fully utilize their facilities, and each campus has the capacity to accommodate more learners.

Approximately 20% of the MRTT’s total training is conducted on campus in the four training centers, while the remaining 80% takes place through off-site project-based training, reaching remote and rural areas.

The MRTT Hospitality and Tourism Academy in Nelspruit operates at full capacity, admitting 130 full-time learners annually. Additionally, it has the capacity to accommodate another 40 learners for short skills programs in food and beverage preparation and professional cookery. This hotel school is linked to a 3-star hotel where learners undergo relevant practical training.
